Chevrolet Bolt is Back for 2027

General Motors has listened to buyers and is bringing back the popular Chevrolet Bolt. With an affordable sticker price, this model will be ideal for buyers who want to experience their first electric vehicle or those who can’t afford the more expensive models.

Bolt will provide extensive range, the most of any model in its price range. The earlier version was one of the best-selling EV models in the class and one of the first to be affordable for the average buyer. The original Bolt had a loyal following due to its versatility and price.

What to Expect in the 2027 Chevy Bolt

The 2027 model of the Chevy Volt is expected to appeal to new buyers and loyal fans alike. It will have a GM-estimated range of 255 miles with a peak charging speed of 150 kilowatts. This is over twice as fast as the previous model, which translates to going from 10% to 80% in about 26 minutes on a public DC fast charger. The Bolt will also be the first Chevy model to come with an NACS charging port.

The 2027 model will feature a sporty RS trim. The infotainment screen is larger than the prior year at 11.3 inches. The infotainment system will include Google built-in and navigational help. You’ll also get an 11-inch driver information screen, which is larger than the prior Bolt model. Super Cruise driver assistance will also be available on the new Chevy Bolt.

The cabin has been refined with a new feature, passenger dash storage. It also has an open console to give you more storage options. The 2027 Bolt has a similar look to the original model, but much of it has been redesigned. Powering the vehicle is the X-76 electric drive unit that was designed by GM. The manufacturer designed this unit to have maximum range while reducing costs and energy usage. The vault uses regenerative braking to help you be more efficient while also offering One-Pedal Driving.

Chevrolet includes the latest technology on the 2027 Volt with an entire suite of apps from OnStar Connectivity.
